We are seeking a talented full stack software engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. In this role, you will bring innovative concepts to life through proof-of-concept development and rapid prototyping using cutting-edge technologies. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with exceptional software development and creative problem-solving skills, capable of architecting, developing, and deploying distributed applications with both front-end and back-end components across various environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of prototypes for advanced concepts in areas such as autonomous systems, GenAI, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
- Own the entire Software Development Lifecycle for Anduril Labs-developed software prototypes, from inception through deployment and documentation.
- Interface and collaborate with other engineering teams and strategic partners.
- Support R&D efforts.
- Participate in field experiments and technology demonstrations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of programming experience with Python, C++, Java, Rust, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Proven software architecture and design skills.
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established codebases.
- Experience with AI/ML development using commercial and open-source frameworks and tools.
- Web app development experience (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue).
- Cloud development experience (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with data modeling and wrangling.
- Familiarity with networking basics.
- Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Graph DB, Vector DB).
- Experience with API development and integration (e.g., REST, GraphQL).
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience developing software on Linux and Windows.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience using GenAI tools for software development, code generation, debugging, and algorithmic exploration.
- Experience with Git version control, build tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of software testing principles and practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
