ACQ Vantage is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to build and deploy production-grade AI agents that drive business outcomes. This hands-on role involves designing, building, and shipping agentic workflows that interact with internal tools, data systems, and user-facing products. You will take ideas from concept to production, focusing on reliability, speed, and practical value, writing code daily and iterating quickly with modern AI tooling. A deep understanding of how LLMs behave in production is expected.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents and end-to-end agentic workflows to solve business problems.
- Integrate LLMs with internal systems, APIs, and data sources, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to prioritize and ship AI features.
- Own and improve RAG pipelines, including chunking, embedding models, retrieval, and reranking.
- Build and maintain an evaluation framework for AI systems, including quality scoring and regression detection.
- Optimize model routing and tiering to improve economics while maintaining quality.
- Instrument the AI layer for observability, including cost, token usage, and anomaly detection.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience shipping production software systems.
- 2+ years of experience building production RAG systems using vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Qdrant).
- Experience building and deploying AI agents or multi-step LLM workflows in production.
- Experience building or contributing to an evaluation framework for an LLM-based product.
- Experience reducing LLM API costs in production.
- Experience working with multiple LLM providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic).
- Proficiency in both TypeScript and Python.
