Accenture is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join their Software & Platform Engineering team. This role involves working hand-in-hand with clients to build great digital products, requiring experienced engineers who can both execute hands-on and lead others. Responsibilities
- Lead client accounts holistically, managing people, delivery, quality, and commercials.
- Ensure great engineering delivery while keeping the big picture in mind to help clients achieve their goals.
- Propose thoughtful solutions that get the job done efficiently and with low complexity.
- Act as a key advocate for the team's engineering approach.
- Contribute to internal and regional engineering communities, shaping tech conversations and sharing knowledge.
- Build great digital products for clients and their customers.
- Lead teams and grow the careers of team members.
- Build backend services in various integration paradigms (synchronous API-driven, message-driven, event-driven).
- Build, deploy, and run cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Azure.
- Build and deliver products and services using Agentic AI.
- Work in DevOps teams with industry-standard practices.
- Produce repeatable, automated tests for own work.
- Collaborate with people to build things and solve problems in an egoless way.
- Flex individual roles and tech stacks as required to get the best outcomes for clients.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading teams and growing the careers of team members.
- Experience building relationships with stakeholders who expect results.
- Several years of experience building backend services in multiple integration paradigms (e.g., synchronous API-driven, message-driven, event-driven).
- Fluency in at least one of Java, C#, Python, Typescript, or React.
- Recent experience building, deploying, and running cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Azure.
- Strong practical experience defining strategies, building, and delivering products & services using Agentic AI, optionally including professional-level certification.
- Experience working in DevOps teams with industry-standard practices.
- Experience producing repeatable, automated tests for own work.
- Comfort working with people to build things and solve problems together in an egoless way.
- Comfort with change and a willingness to learn new things.
